Week of May 29-June 2

It’s hard to believe, but this week is the last week of classes for the school year.  It has been quite an eventful year and there are still a few more performance to close out the year.  You will find this week’s events below.

We are still accepting residency verification for all returning students. Please be sure to take the time to stop by the office and verify residence, if you have not already. The utility bill must have a due date of  May 19  or later.

Week of May 22-May 26

We are excited to announce our newest Robo Griffin, Jonathan Strout, as the new principal for the upcoming school year.   The announcement was made last week at our May board meeting.  Jonathan will be joining us from Sewell, New Jersey, where he is currently the executive assistant principal of Washington Township High School.  He is looking forward to meeting the Camarena community.

Week of May 15-May 19

Our 3rd and 6th Grade students take the CAASPP test this week. Please make sure students get plenty of sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, come to school everyday on time, and relaxed to do their best.

Toys and other special items should be left at home and should not be brought to school. If a student has a medical need for a specific item such as a fidget spinner, a doctor’s note is required or must be stated in their student plan for school.

Please do not forget that residency verification begins this week for returning students. Starting on Friday, May 19 you may stop by the front office to verify your residency for the 2017-2018 school year.

Week of May 8-May 12

Thank you to PTA and all the parents who showered our teachers with love last week. They truly appreciated your contributions and sentiments.

Our state-wide CAASPP testing begins this week for our 4th and 5th grade students. Our 3rd and 6th grade students will be testing the following week. Please ensure your child arrives to school on time and receives plenty of rest to give their best efforts on the test.
