Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week has a special place in the culture  and community of Camarena Elementary.   The namesake’s family created this event in response to the death of their husband and father. We are looking forward to many wonderful events this week to honor Enrique S. Camarena. You will find the details below. Thank you to our wonderful PTA and Student Council to making this all happen for our community.

  • Monday , October 24, 2016- Sock it to Drugs-Wear silly socks/Judge Camarena Visits
  • Tuesday, October 25 ,2016: “Drugs and I Don’t Mix”-Wear mismatched clothes and/or shoes/PTA General Meeting in MPR(6:00 pm)
  • Wednesday, October 26, 2016: Wear Red for Red Ribbon Picture/Red Ribbon Picture / Kickball Game vs. Eastlake Eagles at Eastlake Elementary (3:45 pm)
  • Thursday, October 27, 2016:  “Team Up Against Drugs”-Wear a favorite team shirt/Red Ribbon Assembly (9:00 am) /Flag Football Game vs. Cook Crusaders at Cook  Elementary (3:45 pm)/PTA Winterwonderland Planning Meeting (5:30 pm)
  • Friday, October 28, 2016: “Don’t Let Drugs Turn You Inside Out” -Wear your clothes inside out
