Thanks to all those families who volunteered and participated in the Book Fair last week. We purchased over $7,000 of books that will encourage our students on their quest to be avid readers. Here are some of the big events that will take place this week at Camarena. Please take note.

Tuesday August 19 @ 5:30 – Curriculum Night (This is an adult only event – no child care will be provided)

This event will begin in the Multi-Purpose Room with a presentation by Camarena administration. You will then be sent to your classrooms to meet the teachers at 6:00 PM. If you have more than one child, you can go to the second session that will start at 6:30 PM. The PTA will be selling tiles and spirit wear both before and after Curriculum Night. (This also means that there will be no PTA Boot Camp this week)

Wednesday, August 20 – Picture Day

Thursday, August 21 @ 6:00 PM – PTA Zumba

This event is FREE for all PTA members (join today) and $5 per person for non-members

Parking and Drop Off Reminders

Now that the school year is off and running, I though it would be important to send out a reminder about procedures for parking, drop off and pick up.  It’s imperative that we all show patience and consideration every day during these hectic times on the streets and in the parking lot of Camarena.  Our first and greatest concern is the safety and well being of our students.  For anyone who is unwilling to follow the guidelines, our friends from the Chula Vista Police Department will gladly lend a hand.
