Here are the events for this week at Camarena:

Friday, October 24 – Ident a Kid photos (This is voluntary and they charge a fee)
It was another eventful week of learning here at Camarena. Here are some of the highlights of our week.
Student Council elections were held. Now that the winners have been chosen I can place my vote for the sign that made me laugh most. Cris showed his unique sense of humor with this offering:
Congratulations to all the candidates who ran for office. Whether selected or not, you have demonstrated leadership, and courage, and our school is better because of your presence.
I also got to observe Ms. Marcial’s students working on rounding and using Total Physical Response to keep those ideas front and center in their brains.
Mr. Sykes’ students are working on two critical learning skills as they are carefully observing a photograph and collaborating with their peers on their thinking.
Here is Ms. Robles’ students studying various objects to determine the advantages and disadvantages of bird beaks as they come to understand adaptations in greater depth. Don’t they look like scientists?
Please take a look at our wonderful ambassadors for the Make-A-Wish foundation.
And, here is the quck version of our Shakeout Drill Evacutaion.
