Several of our families have found the log-in for the iCommute a little confusing. I have been notified that we can collect the information ourselves and send it to them directly. Therefore, if you would like to participate, please fill out the form below and I’ll forward to the folks at SANDAG. This is to indicate you are either walking, biking, or carpooling to school any days this week. Thanks in advance for your participation.

As we are approaching Red Ribbon Week, we are reminded of healthy choices for our students and our families. An easy choice to improve health and well-being every day is to drink water. According to the CDC, approximately one fourth of children do not drink any water on a given day.
Partnership for a Healthier America and our nation’s First Lady Michelle Obama encourage everyone to drink more water through the campaign “Drink Up – You are What you Drink” – www.youarewhatyoudrink.org
Drinking more water helps you have more energy to do more, longer and with better focus.
Jersey Mike’s Subs (2015 Birch Road – In the Otay Ranch Town Center!) has graciously donated water for our fitness activities during Red Ribbon Week. All left over water will be donated to our school cafeteria for breakfast and lunch drink options. If you know of a company that would like to donate water to our school cafeteria please contact our front office.
No doubt if you drove to school today, you noticed the arrival of our mighty Safety Patrol. They were receiving their first day of training from Officer Vicente of the CVPD and we will all need to be patient and understanding as the procedures for drop off and pick up will be modified as our young leaders will be taking center stage from here on out. As a community, let’s support our students as they learn leadership and community involvement by taking on this critical and important role.
Today we are staring three new after school programs. Here are their locations:
The classroom for today’s Robotics group of WeDo (2nd-3rd) graders is 501
The classroom for today’s Robotics group of Mindstorms (4th-6th) graders is 413
Greetings Camarena Families – If you are participating in our Walk Ride and Stroll to school activities this week, you will need a password and the password is…
Sorry for leaving out this step earlier.
Run, Run, As Fast As You Can! Camarena is proud to announce their first Cross County Team. Are you a 4th, 5th, or 6th grader that enjoys running long distances through the trails of Chula Vista? If that sounds like a challenge that you would like to take on, please come to the information meeting at 3:00 Wednesday in the Media Center to learn more about this fun after-school activity.
“Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must; just never give up.”
